Current Position
Swedish national, Ann joined Hill & Knowlton in February 2011 with a specific expertise in media/communication regulation and copyright. Ann has more than 10 years of experience in public affairs and has an extensive knowledge of the regulatory challenges facing the media and communications industry, more specifically the book publishing sector, the press, broadcasting (radio & tv), audiovisual production, distribution of cultural products and sports.
Prior History
Prior to joining Hill & Knowlton, she worked for the French group Lagardère SCA as their Brussels Permanent Representative. She was in charge of developing and advocating Lagardère’s policy towards EU policy makers, in particular in the field of audiovisual and content policy, copyright, EU electronic communications framework, advertising and press freedom. She represented Lagardère in European federations, drafted positions of legislative proposals, initiated and participated in alliances with various stakeholders. Before Ann worked for the Council of European Municipalities and Regions in Brussels as Campaign Officer for the European Sustainable Cities Award and prior to that as an independent consultant.
Other Information
Ann holds an MA from King’s College, University of London, in UK, EU & US Copyright and an MA from the University of Paris in Regional Economic Development and international Cooperation.
She is also an Advisor to the European Publishers Council.
Ann is Swedish mother tongue, fluent in French and English and has a good understanding of German.
